Arrival & Car Parking
Parking is provided for guests during the period of their stay only. We have a small car park at the rear of the building which is accessed by a private lane. Our car park has an interlocking plastic grid and gravel surface and can accommodate 4 cars. Because of the limited number of spaces and the arrangement of those spaces, advance notice is required when a guest of limited mobility specifically needs to park in the car park. At night, the car park and lane are illuminated by movement sensing lights. The lane is an unmade road but has a firm and relatively smooth surface. We can provide parking permits to park in Kingsley Road, which is on the corner of the house, or Victoria Street which is the next road down.
On arrival, all guests should report to the main reception at the front door.
All guests will be required to complete a registration form on arrival. Guests are shown to their room and facilities are explained.
Main Entrance & Reception
There is a tiled path leading to the entrance door. At night, there are movement -sensing lights which illuminate automatically as you approach the door. The entrance door is key-operated and has a large brass push button bell in the centre of the door which is at a height of 120 cm. There is a low step up from the path and then once inside the door there is a matt well in a lobby area that you step down to, which is followed by another low step up to the main interior floor level. There is a second door at this point. The main entrance is a traditional Edwardian hallway of 114 cm width which is carpeted with short pile carpet.
