This year’s festival programme is now available online. There’s always something for all tastes and some free events too. It’s something we look forward to every year. Contemporary as well as classical music, dance & performance too.
Put the dates in your diary (8th to 24th May) and go take a look before it all sells out!

Busy today on batch 4 of this year’s stock of Seville orange marmalade. I wonder if I’ve made enough to last the year?! The problem with Seville oranges is that they’re only available at this time of year so you only get a brief window in which to make your stock. You can make marmalade with other oranges but it’s just not the same. It’s quite a lot of work, slicing up all that peel but it’s worth it as the taste beats anything I’ve ever bought in a shop. The “waste not want not” in me likes the fact that in making this preserve, you use every part of the fruit and there is very little waste!
There’s only one recipe for me and that’s Delia’s. If you want to have a go at making some for yourself, here’s a link to her recipe below.
Brand new this week is our updated WIFI service. Considerably faster than what we had and with the option of 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz connections for greater flexibility/speed with your devices. As before a good signal is available throughout the house in all guest rooms.
We have never charged for our WIFI service mainly because we don’t like paying for it when we go away! So it’s still free for guests!
Welcome to our new website!
We’ve updated our website to make it easier to use for guests who want to see and book their accommodation on their mobile phones or tablets. It adapts to whatever you’re viewing it on so it’s goodbye to trying to read tiny print or zooming in on massive pages! It’s a work in progress at the moment with new photos and information being added all the time. And as before, the booking page is secure so you can book with the confidence that your card details are safe.
